Meet your Conservation Technician

Rachel Frantz, Conservation Technician/Barry County Recycles Recycling Coordinator

Rachel began as a conservation technician with the district in April 2021. Rachel earned a B.S. in Biology from Western Michigan University, with a focus on Environmental Science. She has been working in natural resources since 2016.

Rachel serves on the Thornapple River Watershed Council and holds a Natural Shoreline Contractor certificate from the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership and a Green Infrastructure Contractor certificate from the National Green Infrastructure Certification Program. She is passionate about native plants and gardening. In her free time, she kayaks the Thornapple River, crochets, and spends time with her family.
