This event is designed specifically for landowners like you to explore various options for managing the natural resources on your property. Our dedicated experts will be there to share their knowledge and provide valuable insights:

Ben Savoie, District Forester: Ben has a B.S. in Forestry from Michigan State University and 8 years of experience as the District Forester for Barry, Allegan, and Ottawa conservation districts. He will discuss the benefits of forest management and public programs available for financial assistance, helping you make informed decisions about your land.

Sara Krieger, MAEAP Technician: Sara brings her extensive experience from working on her family’s farm and her deep knowledge of the Michigan Agricultural Environmental Assurance Program (MAEAP). She will talk about the benefits of MAEAP for farmers and offer valuable insights into wetland protections and management, even if your property doesn’t include forested areas.

A representative from Wittenbach Center will also be present to discuss their work in wildlife and habitat conservation, providing additional resources for enhancing and protecting your land.
